Too Faced’s Peach Perfect Foundation Review

Peach Pefect foundation review - Cosmetic Composition

One of my beauty resolutions for 2018 was to find my “perfect foundation” and while it may be a bit early to declare the winner I’m going to go ahead and say that I’ve found the one. After complaining for months about how terrible my current foundation was (didn’t match my skin tone at all, never stayed on for the whole day, no oil control) my friends encouraged me to ask an employee at Sephora. After telling the woman my list of needs for a foundation she instantly grabbed this Too Faced foundation, applied it to my bare skin and I’ve been smitten ever since. The Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation ($36 at Sephora) is the biggest makeup purchase I’ve ever made and I’m still so excited.

Product Claims

14-hour stay

Photo-friendly wear

Smooths for a flawless finish

When requesting my new foundation I told the Sephora employee that I wanted a long lasting foundation that matched my skin tone and was somewhere between a heavy coverage foundation and a BB cream. The above claims seemed to match my foundation needs so I gave it a shot.

My day starts at 6am and doesn’t end until 10pm so long-lasting coverage is key for me. I’m impressed with the staying power of this foundation, without the heavy feeling. Even after wearing a mask in full clean room gear to do microbial plating the foundation stays relatively intact. I dab the Peach Perfect foundation on with a wet blending sponge and set with a translucent powder. Setting the foundation with a powder is the only way I can get the formula to stay put, so this is important for the consumers who want a dewy finish to keep in mind.

As far as oil-control, before this Too Faced foundation I would experience an oily shine around 1-2pm in the afternoon and now my shine has been delayed until around 5pm. This is ideal because I have a quick break between work and class where I can blot and touch up my face.

Ultimately, my biggest pro’s for this product is the color matching and final finish. I’m a very fair skinned gal and while I have access to a larger variety of foundation shades on the market I’ve never been able to find one that wasn’t too light or too orange. I have the shade “Snow”, which is the lightest shade offered for this product. The Peach Perfect line only comes in 12 shades, which should be expanded – but I would recommend this line for the pale people out there. Additionally, with my bangs, I do not wear foundation on my forehead or temples and when I’m wearing this foundation there is literally NO difference in skin shades from my forehead to the rest of my face it’s so natural looking on me.
