Some of my devoted followers (hi mom!) may have noticed that I’ve been MIA the past week or so – this is due to my new job! This is my first big girl job post-college and so far it’s going great. I earned a position at a dental products company as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, which is turning out to be great. While the position is not in cosmetics, I am learning a tonnnn of new lab skills regarding consumer products as well as learning how a company’s manufacturing process works. I’ve been using this job as an opportunity to learn more about personal care products such as toothpaste, mouth wash, and other oral care products. So you all can look forward to some posts regarding dental products as well as how to dress for a professional lab!
As for my other big news – I’m going back to school – beauty school that is! Next month I will be starting (night time) classes to earn my esthetician license. Not only is this a huge life goal for me, but I believe that earning my esthetician license will make me a great resource for earning my dream job. My goal with these classes and my license is to further my understanding of the cosmetics industry by getting exposure to the spa and business side.
So, you may be wondering what the future of Cosmetic Composition will look like? Well, I plan on keeping the blog running as best as I can! My weekly posts will most likely be sporadic in the next few months while I attempt to adjust to my schedule of managing a full-time job and night time classes. As for right now, I’d recommend that you follow all my social media accounts (shameless plug for myself) so that you can see all the random articles I read about the industry throughout my busy days. So follow me below!
